Project Car Transport

Project Car Transport Australia

Won a car at Burns & Co, Chicane, Shannons or Pickles? We collect directly from the auction
house and deliver to your door — enclosed, every time.

East Coast Towing & Transport

How It Works

Project cars don’t fit the standard booking form. No engine, no interior, flat tyres, no brakes, primer everywhere. Plenty of carriers hear that and say no. We say send us a photo.

We move restoration projects between home garages, panel shops, engine builders and trimmers, plus barn finds heading somewhere for the first time in years.

Every project travels in a fully enclosed, rubber-sealed trailer. Bare metal and fresh primer stay out of the rain and road grime for the whole trip, and nobody else handles the car between your door and the next one.

Tell Us What State It's In

Does it roll? Does it steer? Do the brakes work? Is the engine in? Tell us at booking and upload a photo with your quote request so we can see exactly what we're dealing with.

We Bring the Right Gear

Once we know what the car can and can't do, we plan the load and bring the appropriate loading equipment. No surprises on pickup day.

Enclosed, Door to Door

Your project goes straight into our enclosed trailer and stays there until it reaches the next workshop or your garage. No depots, no transfers.

Delivered Where the Work Happens

Home, panel shop, engine builder or storage. You'll have the driver's number throughout, photo updates along the way, and a call before we arrive.

Common Questions

Can you move a car that doesn't roll or steer?

Tell us exactly what the car can and can't do when you book. East Coast Towing & Transport plans the load around the car's condition and confirms the loading plan with you before pickup day.

Can parts travel with the car?

Let us know what's coming with the car when you book.

What's the difference between project car transport and non-runner transport?

Project car transport covers cars mid-build or mid-restoration: shells, stripped cars and barn finds moving between garages and workshops. If your car is complete and just won't start, see our Non-Runner Transport page.

Does my project car need to be registered?

No. Your car travels on our trailer, so it doesn't need to be registered or roadworthy to be transported.

How much does project car transport cost?

Project car transport is priced on the route and what the car needs at loading. Our indicative "from" prices are on the pricing page. Send photos and details for a firm quote, and our price is our price.

Is the car insured during transport?

Yes, we carry goods in transit insurance. Contact us for specifics relevant to your vehicle and its value.

100% Enclosed

Every run uses fully enclosed rubber-sealed trailers. No open carriers, ever.
